Task Tuning

Good lighting design provides the appropriate light levels for the occupants’ task and personal requirements. Due to the many variables that influence light levels, such as paint, carpet, and furniture, designing a lighting system to provide “just enough light” is rarely a realistic option. As a result, most commercial spaces are overlit and are designed with ceiling layouts that cannot be altered. However, the Adura Lighting Control System can trim the excess lighting capacity to save money and improve work environments. Task tuning adjusts the lighting levels at initial system startup to provide the right amount of light by dimming the lights to levels that are recommended and appropriate for the task.

Adura Wireless Lighting Controls makes it easy for facilities management to:

  • Establish a maximum light level, by space type or area, to lock in energy savings
  • Establish a minimum light level where needed to provide safe and comfortable conditions
  • Initially decreased light levels may be adjusted in the future to compensate for lamp lumen depreciation
