SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., July 11, 2011 – Adura Technologies, a leading provider of wireless lighting controls and energy management systems, today announced the company has expanded its executive team with the addition of two key industry veterans: Phillip Lavee and Otto Hottendorf.
Lavee, an executive with 20 years experience leading sales in industrial and commercial markets, will be Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He brings to Adura extensive experience in underlying technologies for cleantech, including SaaS, IP licensing, software and systems. Lavee has been with Adura in a consulting capacity since 2010, providing strategic analysis, planning and execution of business and new market development. He previously served as Senior Vice President at Industrial Origami, a cleantech licensor of intellectual property and software, as well as Vice President at Mobilygen and Pictos.
Adura Technologies also welcomes lighting sales veteran Otto Hottendorf into the National Channel Sales Manager role. Hottendorf brings to Adura 20 years of experience in delivering energy efficient lighting solutions, through management positions with manufacturers, distributors and project implementers. He joins Adura from Crescent-Stonco, a part of Philips Professional Luminaires, North America.
“Adura is expanding to bring our proven technology to building owners and managers intent on implementing energy efficiency and load curtailment strategies,” said Mark Golan, CEO of Adura Technologies. “Phillip and Otto are key players in this next phase of growth.”
Golan, a leading corporate real estate executive and smart building innovator, was announced as CEO of Adura in March 2011. He served most recently as Vice President and General Manager at Johnson Controls, Inc. where he ran the Global Workplace Solutions Business Unit for the Americas region.
Adura’s wireless management platform can save users 40 to 70 percent on lighting. It also enables customers to take advantage of significant rate incentives with automatic load shedding at critical periods of high electricity use. Adura’s wireless system can be installed at a fraction of the cost of conventional retrofits without disrupting business operations.
Adura was recently named as a Finalist for a “Digie” in the Commercial Real Estate Digital Innovation Awards and was named one of Sustainable Industries’ Top 10 Green Building Products in 2011. The company has reported steady increases in revenue and has moved to larger facilities to accommodate additional growth this year.
