Adura was named to the third annual Global Cleantech 100, a list of the top 100 private companies in clean technology. Collated by combining proprietary Cleantech Group research data, with over 6,000 nominations and specific input from an expert panel, these companies represent the most innovative and promising ideas in cleantech – the companies that are best positioned to solve tomorrow’s clean technology challenges.
To be considered as a Game Changer of the Year, companies must be headquartered in California or have significant operations or facilities in the state; have at least $5 million in annual revenue in 2010; or developed innovative technology that could lead to a market-leading company; and be in existence for at least four years. A selection committee comprised of investment banks, venture capital funds, academia and conference sponsors reviewed nominations and determined the winners.
The “Top 40” companies were nominated by the conference’s Host Committee, as well as, dozens of other California-based professional services firms, suppliers, investors, banks and academia who identified clean tech companies that were distinguished from competitors because of their focus on innovation and important contributions to California’s economic growth.
GoingGreen Global 200 companies are leaders amongst their peers and developing game-changing approaches and technologies that are likely to push outside the bounds of existing markets and away from entrenched players. Companies were selected based on a set of five criteria: innovation, market potential, commercialization, stakeholder value, and media buzz.
This year’s winners were selected by a panel of expert judges from more than 100 entries based on environmental performance, scalability/market impact, innovativeness, design aesthetic, value and compatibility with the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED rating system.
